NH Liquor Commission Launches ‘Perfect Pairings’ Event Series

October 2025

NHLC hosts bi-monthly events in Nashua featuring curated wine & spirits paired with food from James Beard nominated chef

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) is launching a new series of events designed to educate and entertain consumers, showcasing the art of pairing food and drink through chef-prepared dishes and expertly selected wines and spirits. The bi-monthly event series, ‘Perfect Pairings,’ headlined by James Beard-nominated Chef Edward Aloise, will kick off on Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 PM at the Nashua NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Coliseum Ave. ‘Perfect Pairings’ is the latest innovation in NHLC’s ongoing effort to create engaging, in-store learning experiences for customers and employees.

“NH Liquor & Wine Outlets has long been a destination where customers can find the best prices on wines and spirits, but it is also a venue to explore, taste, interact and have fun,” said NHLC Deputy Commissioner Nicole Brassard Jordan. “Our goal is to create memorable experiences for customers, from discovering new favorites to learning how to perfectly pair them with chef-made dishes. The ‘Perfect Pairings’ event series helps us bring that vision to life. We’re especially thrilled to reopen our kitchen in Nashua, which is now refreshed and ready to welcome guests back for an exciting new chapter of in-person experiences.”

‘Perfect Pairings’ features a guided chef-prepared meal expertly paired with a curated selection of spirits or wines from Ruby Wines, a fourth-generation family-owned and operated importer and distributor known for its world-class selections.

’Perfect Pairings’ tickets are just $5 each. Every attendee will receive a free Riedel wine glass and $15 off the purchase of three or more bottles of the featured product sampled at the event.

All meals featured at the events will be created and prepared by Chef Edward Aloise, an award-winning chef and restaurateur. Chef Aloise has been a staple of the Manchester dining scene for 35 years alongside his wife, Claudia. In 1990, they opened the millyard’s first restaurant – Café Pavone. They opened and operated The Milltowne Grille at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport for 19 years. In 2010, they moved to Elm Street, launching the Granite State’s first farm-to-table restaurant, Republic Café, an achievement that got the couple nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Best Restaurateurs. Campo Enoteca, an authentic Roman trattoria followed in 2014. Today, Ed has resurrected his role as a restaurant consultant.

At the sold-out event on October 16, attendees will enjoy a Beef & Pork Bolognese paired with a sample of Ricossa Barbaresco Antica Casa. Additional ‘Perfect Pairings’ events featuring meals prepared by Chef Aloise at the Nashua Outlet on Coliseum Ave will occur on the following days:
