For centuries, wine has been bringing people together. Whether being enjoyed over a meal with a large group of people or a glass over a good conversation, there are many occasions in which to enjoy a glass. Now, more than ever, there is a wide variety of wines to try, ranging from the classic varietals and brands to chocolate-flavored wines. What better occasion is there to celebrate with the people that mean the most to you than Valentine’s Day? Here are a few of our favorite wines for Valentine’s Day:
11214 Caymus Cab Svgn Napa Valley 750mL
This dark, scarlet red, classic Napa Valley Cabernet from Caymus features powerful aromas of sweet ripe Cabernet grapes with cherry and cacao on the nose. It dances on your pallet with soft, supple flavors of dark berries and cassis with an exceptionally long finish.
This bright, red sparkling wine by Banfi is made from Brachetto d’Acqui in Piedmont, Italy. It has a delicate bouquet of raspberries, strawberries, and rose petals on the nose. It features crisp acidity with bright, fresh raspberries and a clean, dry finish. This sparkling wine can be enjoyed on its own, but it pairs perfectly with chocolate.
8143 Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut 750mL
This classic Champagne has a delicate and elegant nose with fresh floral aromas rounded out by fresh fruit and hints of buttery brioche and vanilla. While this champagne is crisp and light, it combines this freshness with a rich, generous finish.
17754 Chocolate Shop Chocolate Lovers Wine 750mL
This wine pairs deep ruby, red wine with rich, velvety chocolate to create a decadent wine experience. It has inviting aromas of black cherry and dark chocolate on the nose. It features black cherry and dark chocolate on the palette, intertwined with rich cocoa powder and nuances of red wine on the sweet, smooth finish. Chocolate is often given as a gift for Valentine’s Day, so why not give the gift of an entire chocolate shop?
24004 Gerard Bertrand Cote des Roses Rosé 750mL
This soft, pink rosé features a lovely bouquet of summer fruits, cassis, and red currant. It has floral notes of rose along with a hint of grapefruit. On the palette, it gives a nice fresh fullness with great balance and a fresh finish with notes of candy. This beautiful bottle features a unique base that is in the shape of a rose. It’s a bouquet of roses in a bottle!
We hope you enjoy these special selections and our favorite wines for Valentine’s Day and share them with someone special.
