Wine Insider Tips – Dry Rosés

Nicole Brassard-Jordan, Wine Marketing Specialist.

For this week’s Insider Tip, I’d like to talk about dry rosés from around the world! Each spring I select vast selections of wonderful rosés to feature throughout the summer. The wines are perfect for those hot days and pair perfectly with all your summer fare.

Here are a couple of my favorites:

Domaine Le Pive  Gris Vin Ros
é, 2014 from France. Don’t be fooled by the tropical fruit in the nose. This pale pink wine, featuring four grapes (Merlot, Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, Cabernet Franc), is actually a dry light blend.  It’s perfect for enjoying outdoors on a summer’s eve. 10415_Le_Pive_Rose

Broadbent, Vinho Verde Rosé from Portugal. This rosé from Portugal’s largest wine region is truly a crowd pleaser, and perfect for a summer party or a weeknight gathering.  This low alcohol wine has a light effervescence with a ripe raspberry emphasis and will satisfy both the wine novice and the connoisseur.

Though we have a selection of dry rosés to choose from year round, many of these limited buy rosés are dwindling and won’t be available until next release in the spring of 2016. Keep your summer going, and try some of these dry rosés. For information on rosés and any other Insider Tips, visit our website at www.liquorandwineoutlets.com.
