Our favorite wines from Tuscany

There’s no need to buy a villa in Tuscany to change your life (ala actress Diane Lane in the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”), you can  sip a glass of Tuscan wine to expand your palate and visit this wonderful region from the comfort of your own home.

Tuscany is one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, with a history going back to the 8th century.

Well-known for their red wines, the most popular wine to hail from Tuscany is produced from the Chianti region of Tuscany.

Chianti is a blend of grapes,  which is made primarily from the Sangiovese grape. The Sangiovese grape is Tuscany’s most abundant grape, but many other varieties exist. Some towns even have their own local versions of Sangiovese, which impacts the flavor profiles of the wine.
