Official Campaign Rules

The Pour Off (the “Contest”) is sponsored by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, operating as NH Liquor & Wine Outlet (“Sponsor”). By entering, you agree to these Official Rules.

Eligibility

Open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, its agencies and contest administrators, and the immediate family members or household members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Entry Period

Submissions open September 1, 2026 and close September 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST. Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be considered.

How to Enter

Submit an original cocktail or mocktail recipe, a name for your creation, and a photo (optional) through this entry form. If no photo is submitted, an image will be generated based on the information provided. One (1) entry per person. Additional entries from the same individual will be disqualified.

Recipes must be your own original creation or an original spin on a classic cocktail. If your recipe includes a wine or spirit, the product name can be mentioned if it’s sold on liquorandwineoutlets.com. If the product isn’t sold through the state, use a generic ingredient name instead (for example, vodka), or it will be adjusted as necessary. If your recipe doesn’t include a wine or spirit, just continue with your entry as outlined.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.

Submission Content Standards

All submissions, including recipe names, ingredients, instructions, and photos, must be appropriate for public sharing, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Submissions containing content deemed inappropriate for public sharing will be automatically disqualified. In addition:

  • Submissions must be the entrant’s own original work and free of third-party copyrighted material, trademarks, or logos, except product names as permitted under How to Enter.
  • Photos must be taken by the entrant or submitted with the entrant’s full rights, and may only include individuals who have consented to appear. Photos must not include minors.
  • Recipes must use safe, consumable ingredients and reflect responsible alcohol consumption.
  • Submissions may not include personal contact information, promotional content, or links to third-party websites.

Sponsor reserves the right to make minor edits to submitted recipes for clarity, formatting, length, brand compliance, and product naming without altering the substance of the recipe.

Judging and Winner Selection

Three (3) winners will be selected by a panel designated by Sponsor. Entries that meet the eligibility and content requirements above will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Originality (40%): uniqueness of the recipe concept, name, and overall creativity of the entry.
  • Creativity of presentation (30%): quality and appeal of the recipe name, description, and photo (if provided).
  • Feasibility and appeal (30%): clarity of instructions, accessibility of ingredients, and overall drinkability of the finished recipe.

Judging decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to not award all prizes if an insufficient number of eligible, qualifying entries are received. In the event of a tie, the entry with the higher originality score will prevail.

Prizes

Each winner’s recipe will be featured in their own dedicated organic social media post and showcased individually in the January, February, and March 2027 issues of Voilà!, the official NH Liquor & Wine Outlets monthly flyer distributed across all 65 outlet locations statewide (approximately 23,000 copies per edition). The order in which winning recipes are featured will be determined by Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value.

Winner Notification and Verification

Winners will be notified following the conclusion of the Entry Period, using the contact information provided at entry. Winners may be required to confirm eligibility, including proof of age. If a winner does not accept and respond within seven (7) days of notification, is found to be ineligible, or cannot be reached using the contact information provided, that winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for undeliverable notifications due to inaccurate contact information provided by the entrant.

Use of Submissions

By entering, you grant Sponsor permission to use, reproduce, edit, and publish your recipe, recipe name, photo, first name, and town (if provided) for promotional and marketing purposes, including on social media, on Sponsor websites, and in Voilà! magazine, without additional compensation. Entrants retain ownership of their original recipes. Submissions will not be returned.

By entering, you confirm that your submission is your own original work, does not infringe on the rights of any third party, and complies with these Official Rules.

Disqualification

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry or entrant that:

  • Does not meet the eligibility requirements or comply with these Official Rules;
  • Contains content Sponsor deems inappropriate for public sharing or inconsistent with its brand standards;
  • Is submitted through automated, scripted, or fraudulent means, or involves multiple entries from the same individual;
  • Tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Contest.

Disqualification determinations are final.

General Conditions and Release

By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, NH Liquor & Wine Outlet, and their respective agencies, employees, officers, and representatives from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of participation in the Contest or the acceptance or use of any prize.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for technical failures of any kind.

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, or any other social media platform. This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire.

Privacy

Personal information collected through the entry form will be used to administer the Contest and notify winners, and, where the entrant has opted in, to deliver Email Extras and Drop List communications. Entrant email addresses will not be shared with third parties. For more information, see Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
