This iconic winemaking tradition has grown to include seven Estate vineyards, located throughout the microclimates of the Napa Valley. The Duckhorn Vineyards winemaking program is led by acclaimed Winemaker and VP of Winemaking Napa Valley, Renee Ary. Renee has been a part of the Duckhorn team since 2003, and in 2017 her debut 2014 vintage of the revered Three Palms Vineyard Merlot was named “Wine of the Year” by Wine Spectator, on its list of the “Top 100 Wines” in the world. Renee approaches winemaking with a sense of humility and understanding that her leadership and contribution to the Duckhorn legacy is woven into our portfolio’s approach to winemaking across all eight of our wineries throughout CA and WA.
Decoy wines have been a California classic for over 25 years. Beginning as a small production red blend release from Duckhorn Vineyards and now expanding across 13 bottlings featuring some of the best-growing sites California has to offer. Dana Epperson is at the helm of this brand that offers everyday luxury to our consumers. Dana is our head Winemaker for Decoy and also our VP of winemaking for Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. Her ability to encompass the diverse fruit sources and unique flavor profiles from both our estate vineyards and top grower vineyards creates wines that are approachable, well balanced, and can be enjoyed for years to come.
