Big Game Spirited Recipes and Drinks

This Sunday, February 5th brings us that great American tradition of the biggest, wildest football extravaganza of the year. And with our home team heavily favored to crush the Falcons (by our own estimate, anyway) New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets wants to help you throw the best game day party ever.

An event like this deserves libations more special than the typical beer you’d consume in the stands of a regular game. How about a classic or spicy Margarita? Or, an exotic Tequila Oasis or Lynchburg Lemonade? This link has some great recipes you don’t see every day. Or, since you’re among the comforts of home instead of grandstands or tailgating, this is your chance to properly enjoy your favorite Chardonnay or Sangria without the added nuance of “plastic cup” flavor.

Fajitas make a great meal when entertaining. You can prep the meats, veggies, and cheeses in advance and each guest can build their own that gets sautéed for a few minutes on each side. Whip up some sizzling fajitas using Bourbon Steak or Tequila Lime Chicken and serve with a side of Bloody Mary Salsa for a truly spirited football watching experience. Maybe your favorite is Buffalo Chicken dip. This one hits all the marks.

Of course, a championship football party just isn’t right without nachos. Whether the classic chips-cheese-and-meat style or an unusual popcorn variant featuring Mexican spices, they are always a hit that pairs well with any drink.
