The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey are teaming up for the third straight year on an award-winning Live Free & Host Responsibly campaign, which encourages responsible alcohol service and consumption. When the innovative and interactive effort launched in 2015, it marked the first time a control state had partnered with a fine wine and spirits company on a responsibility initiative.
Live Free & Host Responsibly will once again feature a “Cocktail & Mocktail Competition” aimed at highlighting the responsible use and service of Jack Daniel’s products, along with the creation of lower-alcohol cocktails and alcohol-free cocktails, known as “mocktails.”
Whether you are hosting a party at home or serving guests into your lounge or restaurant, a responsible host always has plenty of alcohol-free options on hand to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience. The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) and Jack Daniel’s are seeking the best cocktail & mocktail combinations for a chance to win some amazing prizes. CHALLENGE: Create two recipes:
1. A unique cocktail recipe utilizing one of the products from the Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands (Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, Single Barrel, Gentlemen Jack, Tennessee Fire, Tennessee Honey) that showcases the flavor profile of that spirit that you would serve to a guest at your home or in your lounge or restaurant.
2. A unique mocktail (alcohol-free) recipe you would serve as an alternative to the cocktail above. Submit your entries to livefreeandhost@gmail.com by August 1, 2017.
CATEGORIES: This competition features two categories and there will be first, second, third and fourth prize winners for each category: 1. NH Liquor & Wine Outlet customers 2. New Hampshire bartenders or wait staff
PRIZES: First place: Brown-Forman will send one winner and a guest from each category to the Jack Daniel Distillery for a special tour and educational experience. The prize will include: – Roundtrip coach class airfare from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to Nashville, TN; two nights’ hotel accommodations at hotel of Brown-Forman’s choice in Nashville, TN – Transportation to and from the Jack Daniel Distillery and guided tour – Two $50 gift cards to the Lynchburg Hardware & General Store for Jack Daniel’s merchandise – Trip Dates: Spring 2018 The Customer and Bartender winners will receive VIP admission for two (2) to the Fifth Annual Distiller’s Showcase of Premium Spirits to be held in Manchester, NH in November 2017. The cocktail of the Bartender Winner may be featured at the Jack Daniel’s/Brown-Forman booth at the event. The winning bartender/customer cocktail may be featured in Celebrate NH magazine and highlighted in NHLC’s promotional materials. The approximate retail value of the first place prize is $3,000. Second place: There will be a Second Place prize awarded to the Bartender Winner and the Consumer Winner. Second Place Prize consists of a Jack Daniel’s Fire light-up cooler and a pair of game tickets for New England’s pro football team ($400 value) Third place: There will be a Third Place prize awarded to the Bartender Winner and the Consumer Winner. Third Place Prize consists of a Gentlemen Jack backpack and a Jack-Daniel’s Sweatshirt ($150 value) Fourth place: There will be a Fourth Place prize awarded to the Bartender Winner and the Consumer Winner. Fourth Place Prize consists of a Jack Daniel’s Honey backpack and zip-up sweatshirt ($100 value) Alcohol is not part of any prize.
No Purchase Necessary. You must be at least 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States, residing in New Hampshire. Employees of Brown-Forman, their affiliates, as well as the advertising/promotion agency, and the immediate families and household members of each are not eligible to win.
